THE POWER OF PRAYER (podcast)

Text: Matthew 26:36

Prayer: [Latin - precari] To make a fervent request for something; earnest, humble request.

The Power of Prayer rests in a person's complete faith in God. Knowing that He will answer the needs of everyone who trusts in him is powerful within itself. God has said He knows the thoughts of everyone before the thoughts are even formed (Psalms 139).  We only need to produce the thought within our hearts.

God has promised to deliver us from the time of trouble.  King David noted: I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence (Psalms 91). God's retort? “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With a long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

With said promises, who would fail to call on a magnificent such as the Lord in their time of need?  The power of Prayer - use it!
